Malones are delighted to announce the arrival of our exciting new product: Malones Triple Cask Irish Whiskey. Our whiskey is triple cask matured, combining the best of ex-Red Ale, Kentucky Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry casks to create a classic Irish drink that’s smooth, complex and full of flavour.
Our whiskey is distilled in the heart of Dublin’s whiskey district, mystically known as the Golden Triangle. After starting life as simple grain, the whiskey matures here for 4-9 years, before making its way from our bottle into your glass.
The trinity of casks used to make Malones Irish whiskey contribute an infusion of aromas and flavours. On the nose, the whiskey gives hints of fresh citrus alongside crisp vegetal notes. Subtle oak spices develop into a hearty dried fruitcake aroma.
To taste, this smooth spirit will warm the palate with spice and hints of green apples, evolving to the delights of demerara sugar and caramelized pear. The whiskey exhales gentle breaths of cocoa powder and dried fruits, finally leaving an autumnal impression of subtle spice with sweet apple, cinnamon and silky vanilla.
The versatility of this whiskey lends itself wonderfully to cocktails, Irish Coffee being a firm favourite! However, we felt it important to create a whiskey that’s just as enjoyable when drunk neat over ice.
